Fight, pistol-whipping outside Plantation Publix leads to 2 arrests, cops say

PLANTATION, Fla. — A fight involving a pistol-whipping outside of a Publix in Plantation led to two arrests Wednesday night, according to the city’s police department.

It happened at around 8:15 p.m. at the supermarket chain’s location at 6921 W. Broward Blvd., within the Plantation Towne Square shopping center.

Investigators said “one suspect pulled out a handgun, struck one of the victims in the back of the head with it and stole the victim’s cellphone,” while a “second victim reported being bitten, scratched and punched by another suspect.”…
