FRESNO, Calif (KSEE/KGPE) – A university professor who once admitted he was “into babies” was sentenced on Friday after agreeing to travel to Fresno to meet a 7-year-old girl, the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed.
The DOJ says they convicted former University of the Pacific Professor 48-year-old Rodger Githens of West Sacramento to 18 years and six months in prison for his crimes.
Those crimes started in March 2023, when the DOJ says Githens, using the profile “Tall laid back,” started communicating with an undercover agent on Grindr, whom he believed lived in Fresno…
