Fresno’s ‘most dangerous’ intersection: Grand Jury says these changes are needed

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An investigation by the Fresno County Civil Grand Jury has deemed Friant Road and Shepherd Avenue the most dangerous intersection in the City of Fresno.

The report cites a study from Jacoby & Meyers; the intersection had a total of 21 crashes from 2020 to 2024, the most among all intersections in Fresno.

It also claims that based on the Friant Roulette YouTube page, over 80% of those crashes are related to red-light runners heading northbound on Friant Road…
