Hot August Nights (and days) are just around the corner, and I’m not talking about the classic car show that Reno, Nevada is famous for – I’m talking about Summertime heat. We’ll see some of the hottest temperatures of the year by next weekend – some cities in the Valley could have highs over 105!
Not that this past weekend wasn’t hot – both days brought us highs near 100 in the Valley. Fresno reached a high of 100 exactly on Sunday, it’s 20th day this season with triple digit heat. Hanford also saw a high of 100, while Merced wasn’t quite as warm, with a high of 97. Madera hit 98.
But the average high temperature in Fresno in late July is 98, so those temperatures are pretty normal for this time of year…
