Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer announced on Monday that he will run for a third term if a proposed ballot measure on term limits passes in November.
The ballot measure would create a term limit of 12 years for both the mayor and city council members in Fresno. Right now, those positions have a limit of two consecutive four-year terms.
