FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – County health officials across the Central Valley are monitoring 140 farm workers recently exposed to measles, while advocates are hoping workers’ health is prioritized the same as others.
Health Educator with the Fresno County Department of Public Health, Leticia Berber, says officials in Madera, Merced, and Fresno County are monitoring the exposure. Though no positive cases have been confirmed, Berber says one positive case has the potential to spread exponentially.
