The Lewisville District School District board of trustees voted to rename Mill Street Elementary School as the Vernell Gregg Early Childhood Center in honor of Vernell Gregg, the first African American elected to be a Lewisville ISD Board of Trustee member. Gregg dedicated her life to helping students achieve their best.
The vote was held during the June 8 school board meeting at the Lewisville ISD Administration Building.
