$53 Million McKinney Fire Department Headquarters Officially Opens

A major public safety investment is nearing completion in McKinney. The city will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new fire department headquarters campus on May 8 at 10 a.m., marking the official opening of a $53 million project designed to enhance emergency response and operational efficiency across the city.

The new campus, located at 2100 Taylor Burk Drive, brings together fire administration, logistics and active response under one site, a move aimed at improving coordination and service delivery as McKinney continues to grow.

A Centralized Hub For Fire Operations

The development includes a two-story, 40,000-square-foot administration building, which houses fire administration, the fire marshal’s office and emergency management.

Also part of the campus is a logistics center, supporting fleet operations, equipment management and supply distribution, along with a new Fire Station 2, replacing the previous station on Community Avenue…
