GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Years after a 13-year-old girl was arrested for shooting and killing a 25-year-old man at an apartment complex in Gainesville, she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
On Monday, Kemani Hill, 15, pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter and firearm offenses, a downgrade from the charge of first-degree murder that the then-13-year-old was initially indicted on in connection with the April 19, 2024, death of Wilber Perez, 25.
