GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – Many rivers in West Michigan are expected to crest going through this weekend, including the Muskegon River, which has already achieved all-time highs in a couple of locations.
The Muskegon River at Bridgeton and Newaygo will crest Saturday afternoon, followed by a slow decline.
Flooding will remain a concern for many of the rivers and streams in West Michigan, including the Grand River, which will peak in Grand Rapids on Monday at approximately 20 feet – similar to the flooding that occurred in 2018.
A drier and warmer stretch of weather next week should slowly alleviate the flooding situation. Stay with Storm Team 8 for further updates.
