Michigan’s weekend weather: Something we haven’t had in a while

The weekend weather here in Michigan is looking really quite nice. It won’t be as warm as today and Friday, but it won’t be cold either. More importantly, we don’t have to deal with any additional rain.

Here’s the radar forecast from Friday evening’s thundershowers to Sunday evening. Notice there are no areas of rain, or snow, from sunrise Saturday on through the weekend.

The Friday evening rain won’t be heavy enough to renew flooding conditions. We can look for a high variance in rain amounts from one-tenth to one-half inch of rain.

We can call Friday’s weather-maker a cold front, but it won’t be really cold behind the front. In fact, the latest data is showing Sunday being five degrees warmer than originally thought yesterday…
