DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – On Saturday, June 13, the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Jamboree tees off from Mid Vallee Golf Course in De Pere, courtesy of a local non-profit dedicated to funding expert research of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The Weber family, who founded the non-profit NextGen ALS in 2021, hosted the event for the first time in 2025.

Cathy Kettner, who was diagnosed with a rare genetic form of ALS in 2019, along with NextGen ALS’ Sharon Sprangers, spoke with Local 5’s Stacy Engebretson on her Off The Desk program to highlight the importance of research, especially for such a rare form of the cruel disease.
The fundraiser is set for June 13, with 9 a.m. registration and 10 a.m. shotgun start. Various prizes and raffles will be available, and lunch/dinner will be served…
