DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Just over a week ago, it was announced that The Abbey Bar in De Pere would be closing, and now the official closing date is set.
The owner of The Abbey, Kerry Counard, took to social media on Friday to provide an update and announced that the beloved restaurant and bar would remain open through June 22.
A farewell celebration is planned for Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, with a limited menu including pizza and burgers available. Friday will also have perch while supplies last, as well as fish and chips and both fish and shrimp tacos.

Counard adds that there will be a two-week online option where everything inside The Abbey, with the exception of a handful of items, will be available to bid on and purchase. Merchandise, including The Abbey shirts and hats, is also expected to be on hand at the farewell celebration…
