After Being Fired by Chargers, Brandon Staley Lands Three DC Interviews

Former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is looking to stay in the NFL. He is interviewing for the vacant defensive coordinator position with the Green Bay Packers.

Staley was fired by the Chargers just before the end of the regular season after the team completely underperformed once again.

It also seems that he is drawing interest from his old team, and the Miami Dolphins as well. Staley was the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams before taking the job as the leading man with the Bolts.

Despite his lack of success as the head coach for the Chargers, Staley does have a good football mind. He was a successful defensive coordinator with the Rams, which helped him land the role with the Chargers.

While it didn’t work out with the Bolts, Staley has shown the ability to lead defenses. He may be better suited for a coordinator role, where he isn’t the one trying to control everything.

The Rams and Dolphins are intriguing spots for Staley to land, while the Packers could make some sense also. A reunion with Sean McVay in Los Angeles could be exactly what Staley needs to build himself back up.
