Asheboro school opens Toyota Experience STEM lab

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A new STEM lab in Asheboro is doing more than teaching students.

The Toyota Experience Lab at the Asheboro City Schools facility is helping build a workforce pipeline for the growing Toyota battery plant in Liberty. School leaders say the partnership could connect Asheboro students to future high-paying jobs in the Triad.

The Toyota Experience Lab will serve students from grades 6 to 12. Leaders say investments like this could build long-term educational and economic growth for the community.
