‘I really miss her’ | Father remembers UNCG student killed in Mother’s Day weekend crash

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Friends and family are remembering a University of North Carolina at Greensboro student whose life was cut short earlier this month in a crash on Interstate 85 in Durham County.

Kelis Gorham, 21, of Maryland, and her mother, Denise Crawford, 61, died May 8 in the crash, according to Gorham’s father, Sam Gorham. He said the two were driving home to Maryland from UNCG for Mother’s Day weekend when the crash happened.
