GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro city leaders are tackling affordable housing with a new housing voucher program.
The city is launching a Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program on June 1.

The city is funding the program with $1.6 million in combined funds from the American Rescue Plan’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program and Nussbaum Housing Partnership.

City Supportive Housing Analyst Charles Gray said the dollars will become vouchers for families experiencing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence.
