Thomasville City Schools announces new interim superintendent

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville City Schools has announced its new interim superintendent ahead of next school year.

The school district says Dr. Rodney Shotwell, who previously served as interim superintendent of Lexington City Schools, will lead Thomasville City Schools beginning June 1, 2026.

Shotwell is described as a seasoned leader with experience in North Carolina Public Education. He previously served as superintendent of Rockingham County Schools before he was terminated in 2020.
