ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A crash on Interstate 85 North/40 East led to multiple lane closures on Thursday morning, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred between Mile Marker 153 and Mile Marker 154, near Exit 154 for Mebane Oaks Road in the eastern part of the county near the Orange County border.
The first TIMS alert for the crash came in at 3:24 a.m. All lanes on I-85 N/40 E were closed initially. However, the far left lane opened, with the right lanes remaining closed as of 5:12 a.m.
The rest of the road reopened at around 6:23 a.m.
