GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville attorney has been charged with attempted murder and kidnapping following an incident involving his mother and another man Sunday evening.

According to the Greenville Police Department, officers responded at 8:20 p.m. to Quail Hill Court for a call about an active assault with a firearm.

While en route to the scene, officers were notified that Robert Ryan Breckenridge, 49, of Greenville, had possibly shot another man.

Then the men started fighting, which injured the man, police said.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they detained both men and found a gun in the backyard near a vehicle.
