A New Jersey-based company plans to close a facility in Cumberland County.
Quality Packaging Specialists International filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, informing the state it plans to close the facility at 355 Independence Ave. in Upper Allen Township, near Mechanicsburg, and 83 employees will be laid off.
The building is expected to close on July 6, and the layoffs will take place at that time…
