HERSHEY, Pa. — Milton Hershey students traded traditional shop class lessons for sprint cars Thursday as the school hosted professional drivers as a part of their annual Hershey Sprint Car Experience.
The event gave students and community members the chance to meet drivers, explore the cars up close and learn more about the racing industry while hearing firsthand about the value of hard work and trade skills.
“I’ve always been fascinated with cars and I didn’t know about [sprint car racing] until I came [to Pennsylvania],” Milton Hershey junior Aaden Capelo said. “I’m originally from New York City. I’d never heard about this type of racing, so it’s pretty dope to hear about it.”…
