Chbg. roundup: Softball team blanks Wildcats in twinbill

Chambersburg 5, Mechanicsburg 0: The Trojans won the first game of a doubleheader against the Wildcats 7-0, finishing a suspended game from last month in which Chambersburg led 6-0 after 4 innings.

The Trojans then waited until the fifth inning of the second game to get on the board, but earned a 5-0 Mid Penn Commonwealth victory on Friday afternoon on the road.

Chambersburg is 15-3 and finished 12-2 in the Commonwealth, one game behind Central Dauphin. The Trojans currently hold the Class 6A No. 2 spot in the District 3 rankings behind the Rams.
