USS Harrisburg to be discussed as Navy Week comes to Harrisburg: ‘Let Justice Be Done’

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — Navy Week is coming to Harrisburg for the first time as America celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2026, and sailors will be on hand at the National Civil War Museum to talk about the upcoming naval transport ship named after the city.

From 9:30 a.m. to noon on May 20, sailors will gather at the museum on Lincoln Circle to talk about the ship that was formally commissioned in 2026 after being christened the previous year.
