LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The flag hoisted over Hoover Dam as part of a summer celebration leading up to America’s 250th birthday has been returned following repairs needed after an “unexpected tear.”
According to the Hoover Dam Facebook page, the flag is back on display as of June 15.

The post added that the patriotic lighting display will continue through July 4. The display will light up Hoover Dam and the surrounding canyon walls starting at dusk. During that time, the Memorial Bridge walkway and the walkway at the top of the dam will remain open until 10 p.m. each night.
If there are high wind conditions, the flag will be lowered when necessary. The Hoover Dam website and Facebook page will be updated when flag status changes, the post said…
