LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II will host a Juneteenth observance at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. The landmark will be lit in red, black, and green to honor the holiday’s legacy and the resilience of the Black community.
The ceremony is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the sign on Las Vegas Boulevard. County officials said the lighting is meant to highlight both the cultural significance of Juneteenth and Clark County’s commitment to inclusion and equity.
