HENDERSON (KLAS) — The City of Henderson confirmed Saturday that deputy police chief Matt Murnane was placed on leave. The decision follows a multi-agency investigation into actions made by members of police leadership.
On Saturday, a city spokesperson confirmed Murnane was placed on leave. In a separate statement to 8 News Now, the city confirmed an investigation was underway involving Henderson Police Chief Reggie Rader and Murnane after complaints related to members of the Henderson Police Department’s executive team.
“Because the allegations involve the City’s highest ranking peace officers — Chief Reggie Rader and Deputy Chief Matt Murnane — the City has asked the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s Office of Professional Responsibility to lead the investigation on the City’s behalf with assistance from outside legal counsel with specialized knowledge in labor and employment law,” a city spokesperson wrote in a statement to 8 News Now…
