LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stop for flights heading to Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday afternoon because of thunderstorms.
The ground stop was in effect from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. PDT. It applied to departures headed to Las Vegas from several air traffic control centers across the country. The FAA said there was a medium chance the stop could be extended.
The agency also issued a ground delay program for flights arriving at Harry Reid International due to wind beginning at 1:52 p.m. It’s scheduled to remain in place through 11:59 p.m…
