Clark County to break ground on new fire training center

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Board of Clark County Commissioners and Clark County management will join Fire Chief Billy Samuels for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Clark County Fire Training Center on Monday, May 18 at 3 p.m.

Under a contract for construction services, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company will demolish the existing structures on the 6.26-acre site and construct a new facility with a premanufactured burn tower, a two-story training center and a maintenance building. Plans call for the construction of the new 8,400-square-foot Fire Station 88 and a multi-story parking garage.

The ceremony will take place at the Clark County Fire Department Training Center at 4425 West Tropicana Avenue, on the southwest corner of Tropicana Avenue and Arville.
