South Florida in for a soaking for remainder of week

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — South Florida is in for a soaking Thursday and Friday as Caribbean moisture moves north and a disturbance along the Gulf Coast moves east.

Typical widely-scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday, but the coverage will become more widespread and heavier Thursday as the disturbance crosses from west to east, so we should expect impactful rainfall for both the morning and evening commute Thursday.

Some rainfall totals could exceed 2 to 4 inches, which could lead to some street flooding, especially in those areas with poor drainage.
