Houston leaders say the East End is key to the city’s future

Houston’s East End is on its way to becoming as recognizable as the “Be Someone” sign—and local leaders say that transformation is already in motion.

During Thursday’s Vision 2026 event, held by the East End Chamber of Commerce, Houston officials and community leaders made it clear. What’s happening in the East End isn’t just about one part of town—it’s about the direction Houston is heading.
