At approximately 7:20 p.m. on April 13, 2026, emergency crews responded to an apartment in the 16700 block of Viewpoint Lane in Huntington Beach following reports of multiple people feeling ill.
When units arrived, they found at least six individuals affected by fumes believed to have come from a device inside an Amazon package. Two young children were transported to a hospital for further evaluation, while others were treated at the scene.
According to a resident, the package contained a device believed to be some type of tracker. When the residents attempted to destroy the device, it reportedly released a gas that caused those inside the apartment to become ill…
