DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Hospital Health System says Decatur Morgan Hospital was briefly put on lockdown Monday night due to a “reported situation involving a patient and a visitor”
HH Health said the lockdown was done out of an abundance of caution due to the situation, which Decatur Police described as an assault.

“This was a standard safety precaution to protect patients, visitors and staff,” the health system said in a statement. “There is no threat to the community, and we expect the lockdown to be lifted shortly.”
