HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Next week, the Alabama Department of Transportation will repair a damaged bridge rail on the US-231/South Memorial Parkway overpass at Governors Drive in Huntsville.
The rail was damaged July 3 when a FedEx box truck crashed into the concrete barrier. The driver was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
Crews will close the outside northbound auxiliary lane on the overpass from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, Monday through Thursday. This includes closure of the on-ramp from the northbound service road south of Governors Drive. ALDOT advises drivers to use alternate routes…
