Decatur is targeting a Labor Day weekend grand opening for its new $52 million, 100,000 square-foot recreation center.
Decatur Parks and Recreation Director Hunter Allen said the city expects to get the keys to the center at Wilson Morgan Park on Beltline Road on Aug. 10 from the contactor working on the project, Hoar Construction.
“After Aug. 10th, we’ll be working to get everything set up on our end as well as train our staff to get them prepared and ready to welcome our residents,” Allen told AL.com. He said the project is currently coming in under budget…
