Indianapolis teen charged after manhunt, alleged shots fired incident on near south side

INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old boy with a reported criminal history is facing multiple charges connected to an incident in which police say shots may have been fired toward officers on the near south side of Indianapolis.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office charged Zerryon Patton, of Indianapolis, with the following:

  • One count of resisting law enforcement
  • Three counts of dangerous possession of a firearm by a child
  • One count of resisting law enforcement using a vehicle

Patton’s initial court hearing in the latest Marion County incident is Friday, May 29.
