Indiana Governor Mike Braun is renewing the state’s energy emergency and extending a suspension of Indiana’s gasoline taxes. The governor announced yesterday that the state’s Gasoline Use Tax and Gasoline Excise Tax will remain suspended through November 4th. Officials say the move will provide continued relief for Hoosiers dealing with high gas prices. The governor is also providing relief for farmers by suspending restrictions on the use of dyed diesel fuel. That means farmers can use dyed diesel for any farm-related activities. Officials say the change comes in response to concerns from Indiana’s farming community and is intended to help reduce costs. The renewed energy emergency takes effect October 6th, when the current declaration expires.
