Monon & Main office space could be sold

The Carmel Redevelopment Commission met April 15 to approve documents related to a potential sale of office space at Monon & Main, transfer ownership of original Christkindlmarkt huts to the City of Carmel street department and welcome its newest member.

What happened: The commission approved documents relating to the potential sale of the office space inside Monon & Main at 211 W. Main St., which also houses Anthony’s Chophouse, Savor and residences.

What it means: Because the building is tied to a redevelopment project that includes using tax dollars as a backup funding method to cover debt payments for an associated parking garage, the CRC is vetting potential buyer JK Monon & Main LLC to ensure the purchaser is in good financial standing.
