Willow Lenoir, an upcoming junior at Clinton High School (CHS), is a Senior Girl Scout with Troop 3340 in Clinton. She is currently working toward earning her Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor achievable in Girl Scouts.
As a cross country runner since seventh grade, Lenoir says she wanted her Gold Award project to reflect her involvement in the sport while addressing a need within the community. Project Brown Bridge focused on repairing an unsafe and heavily used bridge on the school’s cross country trail. This improvement was especially important because CHS hosts one of the largest cross country meets in the state, bringing many runners and spectators to the course each year…
