JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes, Ward 3, called for an end to the ongoing dispute between JTRAN union workers and MV Transportation, saying the nearly four-week strike is taking a toll on residents who rely on public transportation.
“We need this strike to end. People cannot get to doctor’s appointments, can’t get to the hospital to visit sick people, can’t get to the grocery store, can’t get to appointments because of nonsense,” Stokes said.
