JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) opened a new facility to anchor their childhood developmental program.
Announced during an open house on October 1, 2026, MDHS unveiled their MS LIFT Resource and Referral Center flagship location in Jackson.
$5 million in TANF funds to expand child care assistance: MDHS
The center will focus on early childhood educational development, offering educational materials and resources for families and teachers including toys, games, posters and a fully stocked library.
The resources available at the center are focused on kids ranging from infants to 12 years old. Parents and educators will be able to rent resources for free within their Lending Libraries for two weeks at a time to help provide educational materials regardless of income…
