JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Folks along the I-95 corridor and Southeast Georgia coast should keep an eye on the sky this afternoon and evening. The best chance for storms will develop near a sea breeze merger close to I-95 and the Southeast Georgia coast.
Where storm boundaries collide, isolated strong to severe storms could fire up — bringing gusty winds between 40 and 60 mph, heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Frequent lightning will also be a concern.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the lower 90s throughout the region, and for the first time in days, there’s not a heat advisory posted.
