PORTAGE, MI — Several Portage parks and a trail will be briefly closed this summer for resurfacing projects.
The Portage City Council approved $535,874 at a Tuesday, June 23 meeting to fund parking lot pavement resurfacing at the following parks:
- South Westnedge Park, 9010 S. Westnedge Ave.
- Portage Creek Bicentennial Park, 910 E. Milham Ave.
- Schrier Park, 850 W. Osterhout Ave.
- Westfield Park, 4500 W. Milham Ave.
The parking lot outside the Portage Parks & Recreation facility, 320 Library Lane, will also be resurfaced.
Portions of the Bicentennial Trail will be resurfaced from Brown Street to Garden Lane and from Milham Avenue to Kilgore Road…
