TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo Valley Community College is sunsetting its sustainable brewing program because of low enrollment and changes in the brewing industry, the school said.
The college will not accept new brewing students, but those who are already enrolled in the program will work with advisors to complete their studies and earn their certificates, KVCC said in a release.
“Decisions like this are never easy, but they reflect our responsibility to align our programs with where students and the industry are headed,” wrote KVCC President L. Marshall Washington. “The Sustainable Brewing program has given our students hands-on experience and real recognition for their craft and that legacy matters to us. As we sunset the program, our focus is on honoring that work by giving every current program student a clear, personalized path to completion.”…
