Free HVACR scholarship available for KCC students

Students pursuing training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration at Kellogg Community College can now apply for a scholarship that covers program costs for eligible participants.

The Workforce Empowerment Scholarship is available through SEMCO Energy Gas Company’s Energy Waste Reduction program and the KCC Foundation, according to a community announcement. The scholarship is open to full-time and part-time students enrolled in KCC’s HVACR certificate program and is intended to help prepare workers for careers involving advanced HVACR systems and the use of natural gas.
