Nine adults shot in early morning shooting on Troost

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City police are investigating after nine adults were shot early Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched around 4:04 a.m. on a shots-fired call in the 7900 block of Troost and arrived to find a large crowd dispersing and three adult women suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say those three victims had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals.

Additional calls came in about other shooting victims who had been taken to hospitals by private vehicles. Police say all nine victims are adults, and all are expected to survive…
