Passenger Suffers Minor Injuries in Three-Vehicle Mosby Crash

MOSBY, Mo — Two Chevrolet Silverados were heavily damaged Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on US-69 at Rhodus Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened at 12:15 p.m. on June 1 in Clay County. According to the report, a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 77-year-old Plattsburg man turned into the path of an eastbound gray 2012 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 49-year-old Kansas City man. The report states the white pickup then struck a fence before striking a parked white 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

The driver of the gray Silverado told the Excelsior Citizen he and his girlfriend had just delivered an armoire to a woman in Excelsior Springs and were headed back toward Kansas City when the white pickup suddenly cut into the left lane, sideswiping their truck.

Both pickups left the roadway and went through a chain-link fence. The gray Silverado came to rest along the fence line, while the white Silverado continued into a nearby lot, where it struck the parked Jeep Cherokee…
