A local family-owned thrift store chain will be closing its Raytown location this weekend.
Maj-R Thrift at 7506 Raytown Road will be open through Sunday, according to owner Rhonda Edwards. After that, the crew will spend a few weeks moving and setting up the new location at 6220 Nieman Road at the Nieman Shopping Center in Shawnee.
A date has not been set for the opening, but Edwards hopes it is sometime this month…
