149 new ‘high-end’ apartments are coming to KCK near KU Med. See where

Nearly 150 new apartments are coming to a Rosedale corner in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Unified Government’s planning commission approved a final plan last week for the future Woodside Village Rosedale development at 4601 Rainbow Blvd., a seven-story building with 149 “high-end” units and an internal parking garage. The project will tie into the existing Woodside Village North and Woodside fitness club across the street.

In the works for the past few years, construction could begin by the end of 2026 and would need to be finished by summer 2029 under an agreement with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and KCK, according to county documents. It’s expected to include a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units.

The project’s website says that it will be the “front door” to Wyandotte County — near the 39 Rainbow development off Marty Avenue and the University of Kansas Medical Center — with new landscaping and better infrastructure for pedestrians…
