Early-morning fire displaces two at Kansas City apartment

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Fourth of July attic fire displaced two residents at a Kansas City apartment building, fire officials reported.

The Kansas City Fire Department said crews were called to the area of 42nd and Terrace St. around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, after reports of a fire at the building.

When firefighters arrived, they indicated that they found smoke billowing from the third floor of a triplex and discovered fire had spread to the attic.
